Established in 2021, Hunger Free Sierra Leone (HFSL) plays an active role in the fight against hunger by delivering community-centered programs and sustainable solutions. Guided by passion and a strong commitment to service, HFSL focuses on reducing hunger, increasing literacy, improving health outcomes, and enhancing the social welfare of families.

EDUCATION IS KEY PROGRAM
.Hunger Free Sierra Leone (HFSL) prioritizes local needs and community-driven solutions. Through our Education is Key program, we provide students with the tools and resources necessary for academic success. With the support of school partnerships, members, and donors, HFSL supplies learning materials, tuition assistance, and uniform reimbursement to young learners.
FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM
Hunger continues to be one of Sierra Leone’s most urgent challenges, positioning food security at the forefront of our mission. Our Food Distribution Program, our longest-standing initiative, directly addresses this need. As highlighted by the 2020 Global Hunger Index—where Sierra Leone ranked 101 of 107—low income and poverty remain key contributing factors. In response, Hunger Free Sierra Leone supplies communities with nutritious food items to support families in preparing consistent, healthy meals.
COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
Driving meaningful change, our Community Empowerment initiatives play a vital role in fostering engagement and enhancing the social well-being of families. Through this work, HFSL builds strong community relationships, expresses gratitude to our country, and helps restore hope and confidence across society.
